
Como seguramente ya saben México y Brasil son los únicos paises de Latino-America que tienen representación oficial de Apple. Con representación oficial nos referimos a que hay oficinas en el mismo país y tambien tiene Soporte Técnico a comparación de otros países donde no hay representación y el tema de Soporte Técnico es un caos, ademas de que ni siquiera hay un telefono a donde hablar para cualquier cosa. (Por cierto el numero de Apple en México es 01-800-APPLE-22 y en Brazil es 0800-1-APPLE, la lista completa de países con representación aqui.)
El tema es que Apple en su sección de trabajos ha puesto una vacante que deja mucho que pensar. Si nos vamos a la sección de trabajos y luego seleccionamos México o Brazil que son las unicas dos opciones de Latinoamérica y le ponemos en Search, nos sale una vacante disponible con el titulo Account Executive el cual fue agregado el 19 de Septiembre.
Ahora haremos un analisis de lo que significa esta vacante:

Responsible for sales with Retail industry in Mexico. Work with major accounts which require exceptional sales consulting and communication skills. Develop and implement action plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets and product mix goals through systematic sales calls on current and potential customers. Create innovative and effective ways to deal with primary and secondary business problems, and promote and sell the complete Apple product line as applicable. Identify, access and effectively use internal and external resources. Develop account plans to meet the goals of Apple and the customer and expand sales into other parts of an organization in a long-term relationship with the customer.
Responsable de ventas al por menor lo que puede significar un tienda de Apple que vende sus propios productos y no por mayoreo a terceros (distribuidores autorizado). Promover y vender la linea COMPLETA de productos Apple.

De nuevo quieren un especie de Director General que se encarga de las ventas de productos, así como también de ampliar la marca APPLE en la región.
Identify, access and effectively use internal and external resources such as third party vendors, retail sales reps., Apple equipment/money, etc. Enlist the assistance of specialists as necessary, and maintain positive working relationships with internal employees by clarifying and communicating goals and expectations.
Assist Retailers in developing the appropriate strategies and infrastructure to sell and support Apple products. Provide sales and product support as needed.
Asistir a terceros (distribuidores autorizados) en estrategias de venta e infraestructura para vender productos Apple.
Develop and maintain an effective planning and strategic partnership with the Retailers by identifying and involving the key influencers and the high-level decisions makers within each Retailer. Plan and effectively utilize the time and resources necessary to develop and generate sales through each Retailer.
Develop and deliver presentations to Retailers. Establish course of action to achieve specific results for events and conduct follow up assessments to measure the effectiveness and implement next steps. This includes sales rep. training sessions and delivering seminars with the Retailers.
Assist Retailers in the development of short and long term plans designed to meet both the goals of the Retailers and Apple’s goals. Expand Apple’s sales into all parts of the Retailer’s business.
Obtain information and stay up-to-date on products, integration, applications, and services of Apple and Apple’s competitors. Maintain knowledge of Apple’s strategies and goals.
Perform assigned administrative tasks including sales reporting, inventory reporting, maintaining files, information, and forms. Develop status reports, establish schedules and attend meetings with internal staff.
Drive all POP initiatives in the retail channel with the goal to guaranty Apple presence in the point of sales and also guaranty that the retailer follows Apple’s guideline for branding.
May be required to participate in special non-sales activities such as task forces, training assignments, community/account appearances, presentations, etc.
Normally requires BA/BS plus 5 years related Consumer Electronics and Retail sales experience, or equivalent. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English are required. Apple product knowledge is desired.
Requires weekly travel throughout Mexico.

- Apple tendrá su Apple Store en Mexico y Brasil, ademas de seguir con distribuidores de terceros.
- No piensa abrir un Store , pero si quiere impulsar la marca en la región haciendo cursos, seminarios, etc..
